the K-2 teachers are iLearn Charter Schools were ready, able and curious to learn all they need to learn to support their K-2 students and understand what dyslexia is and is not. During the 2 hour mandated training, teachers learned about the assessments, interventions, accommodations and assistive technology that is available to students who need additional support in reading fluency, comprehension and phonics instruction. Through self-reflection activities and engaging dialogue, participants left the training feeling confident and comfortable about the concept of dyslexia and better able to identify dyslexic behaviors.
